Mashup
$1,199.00Two minds combined.
Rob Machado and Dan Mann have created the Mashup: A melding of each of their most popular designs; the Seaside and the Spitfire.
Both board designers have spent time mixing and matching their favorite elements of each shape, and they’ve landed at something that goes fast in weak waves as well as a Seaside, and also drives vertically in good waves as well as the Spitfire.
The Mashup is the ultimate groveler. And the ultimate everyday board as well.
Built in Helium Technology, it’s one of our absolute favourite boards for 2022.

Cymatic - Volcanic
$1,289.00 – $1,310.00The Cymatic is an avant-garde, ultra high performance machine.
This shape is a hybrid of the Sci-Fi and Omni models so obviously, you can almost imagine the two boards combining naturally one night with Tomo away from the shaping bay.
Fans of the Sci-Fi will immediately notice Tomo’s double bat tail. Much of the Sci-Fi’s popularity in 2016 and 2017 has been this tail design coupled with Tomo’s Quad Inside Single Concave.
Functionally, the marriage of these two design elements has been brilliant - the double bat adding much needed grip to the wave’s face, offsetting the extreme lift and speed created by the Quad Inside Single Concave.
By melding these elements with the reduced swing weight of the Omni’s nose, Daniel Tomson has created an evolved version of both boards that surfs most similarly to the Sci-Fi but with slightly more rocker, and an increased ease of use in waves 1 to 5 feet.
When it comes to waves of size though, surfers who love that familiar ‘barely out of control in a fun way’ speed when the waves creep above head high will appreciate this board’s feel in proper waves as well.
Both Kelly Slater and Daniel Thomson have surfed and signed off on this shape in 2017 and we can’t wait to present it in 2018 as the next evolution of Tomo’s minimalistic, and highly engineered, modern planning hulls for Slater Designs.

JS Industries Baron Flyer
$999.00Building on our love of twin fins, we’ve kept an array of the design features that made our OG Baron one of the most widely loved boards of all time, maintaining equal parts old school speed and new school flair. The Baron Flyer has foam in all the right places to float over soft sections and fly down the line, yet still allow you to lay it on rail or bust the fins even when you’re going Mach 10.
Slightly more curve than the original Black Baron ensures you’ve got enough rocker to fit right in the pocket, yet still generate and maintain plenty of speed. This is complemented by a moderate single concave running into double concave, providing extra lift and liveliness, and complemented by a balanced, manoeuvrable plan shape. The other main change is an even flatter deck, with low rails. And of course, the round tail with a flyer allows us to maintain more width through the middle but with a relatively pulled in tail. So, ride your Baron Flyer ¼” wider than your OG Black Baron dims.
Fin positioning is also moved further forward to maintain balance between release and control, due to the tail pod being much narrower than the OG Black Baron. This prompts quick, reliable engagement and easy rail to rail transitions, even in weak conditions. Whatever surf you choose to ride it in, the Baron Flyer gives you the freedom to take new lines and go faster than ever in small waves.

Sunday
$1,259.00 – $1,745.00Sunday mornings for me start later than most mornings.
It’s really a family day.... We wake up, take it slow.... Might be a surf involved before breakfast with my daughter or my son, but we’re never in a hurry to get there. We usually go to the farmer’s market before noon and stock up on produce.
In the afternoon I’ll ride my bicycle down to Cardiff reef and maybe paddle out the 7-foot Sunday for a cruise. Then before sunset I’ll ride the 5’6 at Seaside if its good.
My favorite thing about the Sunday is how it occupies both sides of the spectrum. I ride both the 5’6 and the 7’0. That covers a lot of territory.
The 5’6 is about six liters more volume than I’d normally ride in a shortboard. And that’s the most important thing - size up your Sunday. Don’t be shy. Ride more volume and relax.
If you want to draw out turns and flow, ride it as a single fin. You can set it up as a twin fin if you want to liven it up. It’s a win both ways. Sunday is always fun.

Channel Islands Bobby Quad Spine-Tek
$1,250.00 – $1,280.00Bobby Martinez challenged us to build him as short of a board as possible with the goal of maximizing his fun in Santa Barbara’s tiny summer surf. He also added that it had to be a quad, and it still had to live up to his high-performance standards. Bobby’s shortboards are 5’8” but for this customized four-finner he was thinking we ought to take it down to 5’2”. By shortening the rail line and distributing the volume into the width throughout the plan shape he’d be able to skate over the flats and carry enough speed to still fit in his signature gauges.
The Bobby Quad has a low entry rocker that goes into a flat planing surface under the gas pedal portion of the board that provides the speed to get into waves and over those flat sections. The exit rocker and bottom contours are designed to be all business - with performance oriented flip and generous double concave for added lift to help Bobby boogie down the line in gutless waves. Its tail rocker profile, combined with some width in the tail and modified swallow, provide speed and hold during quick directional changes.
The model is designed to be ridden 3” to 6” shorter and ¼” to 1/2” wider than your shortboard. For reference, Bobby’s dimensions are 5’2 x 19 x 2 5/16. From other team riders we’ve since learned that the Bobby Quad is versatile enough to be scaled up for those wanting to increase their wave count. The rail stays nicely foiled (not chunky) at fuller dimensions, so to maintain the integrity of the design we recommend adding thickness over width to hit your volume. As for fins, we recommend you run your favorite quad templates.

Firewire Revo
$1,240.00The REVO is the latest update to the now famous, TOMO EVO. Featuring Vee Quad Concave (VQC)The cutting edge in performance hull design'. Vee Quad Concave (VQC) combines the exceptional maneuverability and rail-to-rail transitions of a vee hull with the lift and response of quad concave to provide the most unique, high performance surfing experience we have ever offered! The higher lift-to-drag coefficient allows for easy wave catching and speedy transitions while maintaining a controlled feel attributed to the balanced 'rectangular' template of the Modern Planing Hul (MPH). The REVO has a more refined outline curve and a higher rocker to its predecessor, allowing this design to perform more radical lines closer to the pocket of the wave. A fantastic quad fin design as the "deep central spine' of the vee provides plenty of directional control. The design can still be ridden as a thruster, though it is recommended to use a smaller rear fin - or a 2+1 setup.

Channel Islands Tri Plane Hull Single
$1,400.00The Tri Plane Hull Single is a fun, user-friendly midlength that incorporates a fresh take on a Al Merrick's Tri Plane Hull bottom design he refined and built during the '70s and '80s - a Greenough inspired planning hull that generates tremendous "lift," which provides added speed, freedom, and ease of control.
Working with surfer Devon Howard once again (see CI Mid), we set out to build a better egg-style, single-fin midlength - a genre of surfboard that can often look cool and groovy but tend to ride slow and sticky, sometimes lacking pizazz or drive through the turns. By incorporating a Tri Plane Hull bottom with a Al's classic egg outline, and combined with our modern style rail and rocker profiles, we landed on a rather spicy midlength design that has a surprising amount of trim speed and drive through its turn in small surf - making this a reliable long-railed performer in conditions ranging from subpar to above average.
The Tri Plane Hull Single comes with beautiful color lamination options that are sealed with a matte finish gloss coat and outfitted with a minimalistic logo treatment which pays homage to some of Al's early surfboard creations.

Channel Islands CI Pro
$999.00Meet Stab in the Dark's 2022 season champ: the CI Pro. Britt Merrick's winning shortboard design, as seen under the feet of Jack Robinson, was made in collaboration with Parker Coffin.
The most rockered board in our current line, the CI Pro is the pinnacle of high performance. The continuous rocker which is curviest beneath your feet allows for quick directional changes while the low curve out the back maximizes projection. The CI Pro's minimal single concave with a very slight double through the fins causes the board to sit in the water and creates a more connected feel at high speeds and through your turns. The curvier outline matched with soft, tucked rails provide for extreme rail to rail surfing.
To put it concisely, the CI Pro lets you do whatever you want without thinking.

Firewire Special T
$1,450.00Dann Mann: “Despite his preference for high performance longboarding, Taylor is an accomplished noserider so he wanted his Firewire models to include a design more suited to traditional longboarding. I’ve personally always enjoyed the stylish nature of the ‘old school’ and in particular, riding an original Phil Edwards board that my dad has”.
Dan continued, “After a ton of input from Taylor combined with my own experience, we developed The Special T. The rails have a soft 50/50 curve, along with a scoop nose concave and extra tail flip. We also relaxed the nose entry rocker to enhance tip riding, allowing riders maximum glide and trim with ease.

Firewire Seaside & Beyond
I’ve really been wanting to play around with some longer fishy kind of boards for a while now... Ever since I spent some time with skip frye and he showed me some of his fishes in the 7 foot range It’s been on my mind. I first stretched out the GO FISH and made a 7 footer. It worked great and really got my mind spinning. Then I made a 7’0 seaside and it became one of my favorite boards in my quiver. I rode it in everything. Super small days, bigger days and everything in between. It’s become a board that I will take with me every where I go.
It glides. It turns on a dime and most importantly... it puts a smile on my face.
